SHOPPING SHORTCUTS: WHERE TO FIND PANTONE’S TWO NEW COLORS

For sure, pastel pink and baby blue are having a moment. Well–rose quartz and serenity for those versed in Pantone. That’s right, this year’s color of the year is actually a two-fer. The good news for us New York-minute New Yorkers? Soft shades help us feel calm and collected (yes, please!) Here’s where to find these colors-of-the-moment at The Shops at Columbus Circle. Get ready to get your composure on, ladies.

Slink the chain-link strap of Michael Kors’ Large Saffiano Leather Crossbody Bag over your requisite New York black and you’re ready for a night out. Now, who was it that said pink couldn’t look sophisticated?

Sometimes Evernote just doesn’t cut it. Moleskine’s notecards come bound in various pastels, including iris and peach blossom pink, and are easy to tuck into a bag or pocket as you run out the door.

With a delicious array of colors including pink and blue, Cole Haan’s suede ZeroGrand Wing Oxford sneakers are flexible, versatile and in-the-moment, just like you. Walk up one floor to H&M to round out a high-low look with a pair of slim jeans and a crisp light-blue shirt.

Satya’s Cherry Quartz Tree of Life bracelet emanates hope and love in pale pink, while the Inner Radiance Aquamarine Earrings symbolize courage and tranquility in light blue, helping us all shine from within — on and off the yoga mat. Ohhhhmmm…..

If even after a round of shopping at The Shops you still can’t quite get on board with pink and blue, Sugarfina Pearls from Greece coated in luminescent pink or shimmery blue may change your outlook. Treat yourself or build your own box as a hostess gift at your next dinner party. But do it now, before next year’s Pantone color comes out!
