It’s a crisp fall day, and cameras are clicking and bystanders are stopping to watch three gorgeous women posing next to the iconic fountain in Columbus Circle — the official exact spot from which all distances in Manhattan are measured. It’s just steps away from one of the city’s most dazzling destinations: The Shops at Columbus Circle.
The women are there to be photographed for The Shops at Columbus Circle’s new Wild Harmony advertising campaign. Inscribed on the side of the fountain is the phrase: “joy and glory,” which describes the scene perfectly. The models look like three friends who’ve met up to spend the day enjoying everything The Shops at Columbus Circle has to offer: its bars, restaurants, shops, and entertainment galore.
One women is definitely the wild child, with her dramatic updo, her enormous chandelier earrings, and her shimmering dress that looks like it came right off the runway. She clearly spends her days shopping at Ted Baker London and Hugo Boss and her nights sipping cocktails at the glamorous Ascent Lounge New York.
The harmonious friend is strumming on a guitar, wearing a leather jacket and stylishly ripped jeans. You can just picture her scoping out Diesel and True Religion before she heads to a show at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Then there’s the sporty friend, who just got back from a jog with the New York Running Company and is snacking on gluten-free noodles from Whole Foods Market before she heads to a class at Equinox Fitness Club.
You can certainly say you are what you eat; but at The Shops at Columbus Circle it can also be said you are what you shop and wear. This is a place that appeals to every sensibility.
